Neo Vision’s Weekly Rant #26
Where we RANT about what goes exceptionally good and wildly bad when you turn your company digital
We all have bad habits, and one of the most common is making promises we don’t keep. But the good news is that this is something we can control. Unfortunately, technology can’t help us much in this area.
One of the reasons we fall into this trap is because we love to talk about ourselves and our plans. We want to be perceived as unique and interesting, and when we talk about our goals, our brain releases dopamine, making us feel good. That, in colloquial language, it’s called “mental masturbation”, which refers to excessive or futile thinking or planning without taking action.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Some people use this habit to hold themselves accountable, but for most of us, it leads to failure. The solution is simple: show the results of your work instead of just talking about it. If you just talk about what you’ll do, you will waste valuable dopamine and the trust of those around you. Take action and make it happen.

ChatGPT has quickly become more than just a toy for us - it's an indispensable tool that has proven to be essential in our arsenal. We shared our excitement about it in our twentieth weekly newsletter, and since then, it's only grown in popularity. ChatGPT has its limitations but opens up a world of possibilities across industries and markets. The best part? A new version is on the horizon, trained on an even larger dataset. We can hardly contain our excitement for what OpenAI's GPT-4 has in store. In the meantime, we'll continue to push the boundaries of what ChatGPT can do.
